Based on current production technology and equipment, in order to reduce the cost of coal slurry drying, the heat source and equipment structure should be considered first. At present, common heat sources include coal, electricity, gas, oil, steam, biomass pellets, boiler flue gas waste heat, etc. The cost of using these heat sources varies, and different heat sources have a significant impact on the later cost investment of the equipment.
The initial moisture content of coal slurry is also an important factor affecting the drying cost. The higher the moisture content in coal slurry, the more heat is required. Therefore, the hot blast stove needs to provide more heat energy for the coal slurry dryer, which increases the fuel input cost. Generally speaking, the initial moisture content of coal slurry is about 30% -35%, which is relatively high for coal slurry dryers. Coal slurry can be used after drying to below 15%.
In addition, daily inspection, maintenance, and upkeep of coal slurry dryers are also important. These components can ensure the stable operation and production of the drying equipment, reduce the frequency of equipment failures, and extend the service life of the equipment.
